The down-the-hole drilling rig is an impact rotary drilling rig. Its internal structure is different from that of a general rock drilling machine. Its gas distribution and piston reciprocating mechanism are independent, that is, an impactor. The front end is directly connected to the drill bit, and the rear end is connected to the drill pipe. During the rock drilling, the impactor is in the hole of the submerged person, and the piston (hammer) in the impactor is reciprocated against the shank by the gas distribution device (valve), so that the drill bit generates a swirling force to the rock at the bottom of the hole.

The down-the-hole drilling rig uses electric energy as power, with low noise and strong power. The drilling speed is 3-8 times that of a general rock drill, the rock hardness is 9 and the drilling depth per hour is 8-16 meters.
