Seoul Viosys and SETi announced that Violeds UV LED technology successfully killed 99.9% of the virus in 30 seconds.
According to the news, the research team of Seoul Visteon and Korea University conducted tests using the Violeds compound semiconductor technology that is in mass production.
This study used Violeds technology to demonstrate the strong bactericidal effect of the Violeds UV LED light source after irradiating the virus for 30 seconds.
The study also found that if the virus is placed closer to the light source and the irradiation time is extended, the sterilization effect will be stronger.
In addition to testing virus, the research team also proved that Violeds technology can achieve 99.9% sterilization of harmful bacteria such as E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Salmonella typhimurium.
