By definition a turf’s Dtex measures the density of the turf fibers. Dtex is a unit of fineness for yarn equal to the fineness of a yarn weighing one gram for each 10,000 meters.

Dtex will affect the thickness of fibre or number of fibre in one tuft.

The higher the Dtex, the more durable the turf will be.
