A: Friction welded heat sinks are suitable for high power cooling applications in which the required dimensions exceed the dimensional limit of extruded heat sinks. In this case, two extruded heat sinks can be welded together by using the friction welding technique so as to form a large-scale ultra wide heat sink, which we called a friction welded heat sink.
