This capacitor-switching contactor is mainly specifically used in low voltage reactive power compensation equipment, to switch in and off the capacitors, adjust power factor in power system. This kind of contactor is like an air electromagnetic ac contactor that is added an inrush suppressing component. This component can surge the attack that inrush current brings to capacitor when switching in, and can surge over-voltage at switching off.

This kind of contactor actually consists of two same specification ac contactors and mechanical chain structure, electrical interlocking structure. That makes sure in any situation, two contactors won’t close at the same time.

This dc contactor has two structures: stereoscopic, and planar. Snap-in structure that rotates around the edges and corners is mostly used in electromagnetic system . The main contact adopts double breakpoint bridge structure or the single breakpoint rotation structure. Common in this contactor range is CZ0 series.
5. Vacuum AC Contactor
The vacuum ac contactor uses vacuum as the arc extinguishing medium, and its main contact is sealed in the vacuum switching tube.
Vacuum is the insulation and arc extinguishing medium , so when the contacts are separated, arc can only be maintained by the metal vapor evaporated from the contact, because vacuum has a high insulation strength and recovery speed of medium is very fast, the plasma of vacuum arc quickly spreads around, and the arc can be extinguished when the first voltage crosses zero point. Common vacuum ac contactor includes CKJ5 series.
