High manganese steel bucket teeth have been used for a long time, and the surface will harden, which needs to be repaired. After the high-manganese steel bucket teeth of the excavator are worn over a large area, and bucket teeth can be repaired and increased their wear resistance using the following surfacing welding process.
1. Use a grinding wheel to grind the surface of the base material 2 ~ 3mm to remove the original work hardened layer. When the base material has cracks, a V-shaped groove should be opened to completely remove the cracks.
2. Use Hunan WISE New Material Technology Co., Ltd iron-based base alloy powder base welding, welding materials must be baked 150C, 1h; select special alloy powder overlay welding surface, welding materials must be baked 300 ~ 350C, 1h.
3. First use special alloy powder, fill the open groove with a short weld bead, and then perform zone bottom welding, the surfacing part is divided into 60 ~ 80mm width, the gap width is about 10 ~ 30mm, after each zone is welded, Then weld the gap part.
4. When surfacing the surface layer with special spray powder, surfacing welding is divided into sections until the required thickness is surfacing before surfacing the gap.
5. During the surfacing process, care should be taken to prevent the base material from overheating, if necessary, a part of the base material can be immersed in water for surfacing.
When a factory used Hunan WISE New Material Technology Co., Ltd. special alloy powder surfacing welding to repair the bucket teeth with very serious wear, this method was adopted: the gas was cut from the tractor track plate (high manganese steel).
Weld first with the tip of the tooth, and then surfacing. The size of the supplementary plate depends on the wear. When surfacing with special spray welding powder, a symmetrical alternating welding sequence is adopted to prevent cracks. When surfacing, lay the bucket teeth diagonally and surfacing from bottom to top. After surfacing a layer, slag, turn over and weld the other side. After surfacing a layer, turn over and weld the second layer of the first side. Avoid overheating and cracks during surfacing.
Warm reminder: To remove impurities before welding, the workpiece should be welded on the bottom layer without slag and rust. Fully preheat before welding operation. During the surfacing process, the weld bead must be hammered in time and water toughened (water poured on the weld bead). Must pay attention to avoid the workpiece temperature is too high.
After using the above method, the bucket teeth after welding have been proved to be effective.
