Volunteer rescuers have been using inflatable whales and seals to simulate saving stranded marine life.

The team from British Divers Marine Life Rescue took part in a training course in West Runton, Norfolk.

In the past 12 months, a number of whales have been washed up on beaches around East Anglia.

Here are some of advice on what to do if you spot an animal on the beach:

Whales,dolphins or porpoises should be out of the water:

Keep them wet,but avoid the blowhole.

Stay clear of the tail,it may flick.

Seals do spend time out of the water:

Do not approach,they may bite.

Monitor for signs of injury or illness.
