“Thin” can’t stand for breathable
There are several reasons for red buttocks:
The absorption speed of diapers is one of the important reasons. Absorption speed is too slow will make urine and baby skin contact time is too long, baby's butt is soaked in urine for a long time, easy to cause discomfort. Secondly, if the baby squeezes and forms a large amount of urine reverse osmosis when wearing diaper products after sucking urine, the baby's butt will be wet and unable to keep dry, which will also lead to red ass. Therefore, the products with less amount of reverse osmosis and fast absorption should be selected. Not only that, mother in the attention of water absorption, but also pay attention to the permeability of diapers. Baby skin delicate, and need to wear diapers for a long time, if the air permeability is not good, will greatly reduce the baby's comfort, also easy to stuffy red ass. Finally, not timely replacement, not clean in place, excessive wiping and so on will also bring skin problems to the baby.
Therefore, when choosing diapers,not the thinner the better. If the absorption and air permeability is not good, the baby's little butt is wet for a long time, even if the diapers themselves are light and thin, it will not help。
The absorption core is the key
Diapers are mainly composed of three structures: Top sheet, absorption core layer and back sheet. If you want to distinguish thin and thick diapers, you will start from these three aspects。
First of all, the top sheet, which is close to the baby's skin side. At present, the diapers in circulation on the market usually use single-layer face cloth. Because of the low cost, it can also reduce the thickness of one layer. However, such diapers often have a high rate of backosmosis, so the possibility of baby red buttocks will be increased. In view of this, the high-end brand diapers that follow the word-of-mouth route often insist on using double-layer face cloth. Although the cost is high, it can absorb 500ml of water, and it will not seep back after standing for 24 hours, so as to ensure that the baby can sleep comfortably and dry overnight.
Secondly, the bottom cloth, that is, the outermost layer, is mainly composed of PE breathable bottom film and bottom non-woven fabric. PE breathable bottom film is to prevent leakage of urine. The bottom non-woven fabric ensures the air permeability and improves the comfort as much as possible. The main factors determining the air permeability are the number of air holes and the manufacturing process. At present, most brands pursue hand feel and prefer to use hot-air cloth, because it feels softer, like cotton, but the cost is relatively high.
Finally, the core technology to determine the thickness of diapers is "core body", which is the key factor to determine the water absorption and quality of diapers. With the upgrading of diapers, the core body has experienced three revolutions。In the first generation, simple wood pulp was used. The absorption capacity of the pure wood pulp core was very limited, and it was basically eliminated by the market; in the second generation, the core body with SAP + fluff pulp as the main absorption body was used, which belonged to the most traditional core body, and the instantaneous absorption speed was relatively fast, but the thickness, conductivity and absorption strength had certain limitations。In the process of using, it is easy to have faults and lumps, which can lead to leakage of urine and diaper rash, causing consumers to question the quality and safety of diapers. In the third generation, the core is made up of polymer absorbent resin (SAP). It has a super absorbent function that absorbs hundreds of thousands of times more than itself and has excellent water retention properties. Once water expands into hydrogels, it is difficult to separate water even under pressure. Excellent flow conductivity and strong water locking ability can maintain 24 hours without reverse osmosis and keep dry at any time. At present, the core body of domestic brands is basically adopted, including our company’s brand diaper and other brand diapers sold in China. This kind of core is more light and thin, only half of the traditional core body, more soft and breathable.
