On September 16, 2019, the governor of Hainan Province stated that by 2030, all areas of Hainan, including private cars, all use clean energy vehicles.
In promoting clean energy vehicles, Hainan has set three time-node targets. By 2020, all road vehicles will use clean energy vehicles. By 2025, all public utilities vehicles will use clean energy vehicles by 2030. All areas include private cars, all using clean energy vehicles.
