Waterproof transformers are widely used for the underwater lamps because of its outstanding waterproof performance. However, some customers don’t really know how to install the transformers correctly and may even lead to a transformer malfunction. Here we have some notes while installing the waterproof transformers.

1. As a general rule, 75% of the transformer utilization is more reasonable. For example, 100W transformers can be used for the underwater lights with the power of below 75W.
2. The voltage of remote underwater lamp is less than voltage marked on the nameplate because of the wire resistance. Therefore, the distance from the lamp to the transformer outgoing line can not be too long.If the distance is too long, the quantity of transformers can be added properly.
3. Making sure the waterproof reliability of the connection of the power , the underwater lamp and the transformer.
4. The input and output leads must be installed by following the nameplate strictly.Making sure not to connect reversely.
5. The input voltage of the grid can not exceed more than 10% of the rated voltage of the waterproof transformer. For example, the input voltage of the grid can not be above 245V while using the 220V transformer or the transformer will be very easily to burn out.
6. Handle the transformers with care during installation at site.Preventing the artificialcollision and damage.
While using waterproof transformers, in addition to ensuring the quality from the source of customization and choosing the manufacturer with quality and after-sales assurance, we need to fully know about the cautions of installation, making sure the transformers in the stable operation in the future.
Ecko waterproof transformers are made of built-in copper wire toroidal transformers, aluminum housing with heat dissipation and thermally conductive epoxy resin. The IP rate can be up to IP68 which means that Ecko waterproof transformers has super waterproof and they can be submerged in water for a long time.Meanwhile Ecko has professional technicians providing one-to-one professional guidance online for the after-sales service.
