Seven people were killed in a house fire in Olsk, Orenburg, southwestern Russia, on January 1.
According to a statement issued by the Orenburg State Emergency Administration, preliminary investigations revealed that there were two men, two women and three children among the dead. The fire was caused by the malfunction of household appliances, and the place of the fire was the kitchen of the house.
At present, the fire has been extinguished, and relevant investigations are under way.
