Before installation of tower crane, some preparation must be done:
(1) The required space for assembly should be accurate according to the design drawing.
(2) Check whether all components and accessories are ready before installation.
(3) Check whether the foundation of the tower crane confirms to the design, and inspect whether dimension of the connection between buried foundation and tower crane confirms to the design.
In order to guarantee safety, all staff must follow below regulations:
(1) The command personnel of hoist crane must be on duty with a certificate, and should closely cooperate with operator.
(2) When the hoist crane is in operation, it is prohibited to stay, work or pass under the lifting boom. When lifting heavy objects, it is strictly forbidden to pass over, also it is forbidden to carry people by crane.
(3) The tower crane cannot be used to lift heavy objects buried underground or frozen on the ground and other objects of unknown weight. The concrete components or formwork must be loose before lifting.
(4) It is strictly prohibited to lift heavy objects in the air for a long time. In case of any emergency, heavy objects should be landed in a safe place and cut off electric power for maintenance. Once the electric power is suddenly cut off, all controllers should be set to zero immediately, disconnect the main power switch and land the heavy objects to the ground.
The installation and disassembly of tower crane must be carried out by qualified teams and should be under on-site supervision of technical and safety personnel.
