The Lloyd's Daily recently published a list of the top 100 container ports in the world in 2016. In fact, the throughput of this list is ranked according to the container throughput in 2015. In the top 10, China occupies seven seats, namely Shanghai Port (first), Shenzhen Port (third), Ningbo Zhoushan Port (fourth), Hong Kong (fifth), Guangzhou Port (seventh), Qingdao Port (eighth) and Tianjin Port (tenth). Among them, Shanghai Port continued to rank first with 36.53 million TEU throughput; Shenzhen Port ranked third with 24.2 million TEU throughput; Ningbo Zhoushan Port ranked fourth with 20.62 million TEU throughput replacing Hong Kong; Hong Kong Port ranked fifth with 19.46 million TEU throughput; Guangzhou Port, Qingdao Port and Tianjin Port ranked fifth with 17.62 million TEU, 17.51 million TEU and 14.10 million TEU, respectively. Ten thousand standard box throughput ranks seventh, eighth and tenth respectively.
