Toroidal transformer mainly consists of toroidal core, coil (also known as winding, dividing into primary and secondary).Except for these two important components, what are transformer made of? In this article we will take our Ecko transformer as example to dissect all the components of the toroidal transformer, making us get a better understanding of toroidal transformer.
Core:The core we adopt in Ecko toroidal transformer is made of seamless high-quality cold rolled silicon steel sheets whose thickness is below 0.35mm./span> The cores we used have lower loss, high flux magnetic, 95% even higher electrical efficiency.

Coil(also known as winding):The coil we use in Ecko toroidal transformer is winded with double insulated pure copper wires, the QZ-2 industrial copper wire with high mechanical strength. The coil tightly covering the toroidal core can effectively reduce the droning noise caused by the magnetostriction.

UL wire:Ecko use UL certificated wire with high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance.

Fiber sleeving:High-grade insulation and strong electrical resistance.

Heat resisting mala tape: In order to avoid the burnout, we adopt heat resisting mala tape rather than ordinary tape to paste and fix inside our Ecko toroidal transformer.

Highland barley insulating paper: We use highland barley insulating paper as the interturn insulating paper of our Ecko toroidal transformer. It is also called cyan thin electrical insulating board which is made of mixed pulp of wood fiber and cotton fiber after a certain manufacturing process.It has a good mechanical strength, electric strength, toughness and smooth surface.
Self recovery temperature protector: Self recovery temperature protectors should be installed inside all the Ecko toroidal transformers with the power of above 200W. When transformer short circuit or connection short circuit happens and the temperature of transformer rises by 5℃ above or below the normal working temperature of thermall fuse, temperature controlling protector will turn off the current automatically, efficiently protecting circuit and personal security.
