The synchronous belt drive is composed of a circular belt with equidistant tooth shape and corresponding matching wheel. It combines the advantages of belt drive, chain drive and gear drive. During rotation, power is transmitted through the tooth meshing with the tooth groove of the wheel. 4. Synchronization belt classification
There are two types of synchronous belt teeth: trapezoidal teeth and arc teeth, arc teeth and three series: arc teeth (H series also known as HTD belt), flat top arc teeth (S series also known as STPD belt) and concave top parabolic teeth (R series).
Trapezoidal gear timing belt
The trapezoidal gear synchronous belt is divided into single side and double side teeth, referred to as single side and double side belt. The double-sided belt is also divided into symmetrical tooth type (code DA) and staggered tooth type (code DB) according to the arrangement of teeth. The trapezoidal tooth synchronization comes in two sizes: pitch and modulus. Arc-toothed synchronous belt
Except for the curved tooth shape, the arc-tooth synchronous belt is basically the same as the trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt in structure, and the belt has the same pitch, and its tooth height, root thickness and root fillet radius are all larger than the trapezoidal tooth. After loading with teeth, the stress distribution is better, the stress concentration of tooth root is gentle, and the bearing capacity of teeth is improved. Therefore, arc-tooth synchronous belt can transmit more power than trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt, and can prevent tooth interference in the process of meshing. Arc-tooth synchronous belt has good wear resistance, low noise when working, no need for lubrication, and can be used in the harsh environment with dust. Has been widely used in food, automobile, textile, pharmaceutical, printing, paper and other industries.


5. Working principle of the synchronous belt:
Synchronous belt drive is composed of an annular belt with equidistance teeth on the inner surface and a belt wheel with corresponding teeth. When running, the tooth and tooth groove of the belt wheel mesh to transfer motion and power. It is a new belt drive that integrates the advantages of belt drive and chain drive gear drive. Notes for installation and use of the synchronous belt and the synchronous wheel: reduce the center distance of the belt wheel. If there is a tension wheel, loosen it first, and adjust the center distance after installing the belt. For the drive with fixed center distance, the belt pulley should be removed first, and the belt should be installed on the belt pulley, and then the belt pulley should be installed on the shaft for fixing.
You should also pay attention to the following points when installing:
(1) when installing the synchronous belt, if the center distance between the two belt wheels can be moved, you must first shorten the center distance between the belt wheels, install the synchronous belt, and then make the center distance reset. If there is a tensioning wheel, first relax the tensioning wheel, then install the synchronization belt, and then install the tensioning wheel. (2) to the belt wheel installed with a synchronous belt, remember not to exert too much force, or use a screwdriver hard pried synchronous belt, in order to prevent the appearance of the tensile layer of the belt is imperceptible breaking phenomenon. When designing the belt pulley, it is best to choose the structure that two shafts can move close to each other. If the structure is not allowed, it is best to install the synchronous belt and belt pulley together to the corresponding shaft.
(3) control the appropriate initial tension.
(4) in the synchronous belt transmission, the two belt wheel axis parallelism requirements are relatively high, otherwise the synchronous belt in the work will generate deviation, even out of the belt wheel. Axis not parallel far will cause uneven pressure, is early wear with teeth.
(5) support the rack with wheels, must have enough stiffness, otherwise the belt wheel in the password lock operation will cause the two axes are not parallel.
