The 4th southeast Asia photovoltaic energy storage conference and expo 2019, a two-day event, opened in Manila, the Philippines, on nov 14.Yode new energy technology co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "yode operation and maintenance") was invited to attend the exhibition. Zhang chengfei, director of overseas business development, had an in-depth discussion on the development opportunities of renewable energy in southeast Asia market and the guests attending the roundtable discussion.

Southeast Asia is an emerging market with a booming pv industry. It is expected that the cumulative pv installed capacity will reach 12.6gw this year and nearly triple to 35.8gw in 2024.Large photovoltaic projects will dominate in the next five years. As the economics of photovoltaic projects become more and more concerned, distributed photovoltaic is bound to develop.

In zhang chengfei's opinion, one of the reasons for the rapid development of southeast Asian market in recent years is that southeast Asia has huge new energy potential. From the perspective of internal environment, southeast Asia is rich in natural resources, including huge hydropower potential, good wind and light resources, etc. In addition, population factors lead to surging demand for electricity, which further stimulates the development of local renewable energy. From the external environment, relying on the advanced new energy technology and experience from Europe, southeast Asia has improved the local power generation efficiency and reduced production and operating costs.China's "One Belt And One Road" strategy not only provides opportunities for the global strategic layout of Chinese enterprises, but also promotes the development needs of southeast Asia.

"Another important point is that in recent years, southeast Asian countries have witnessed rapid economic growth and high electricity demand," zhang said.

In order to promote the development of renewable energy, asean has set a target for the development of renewable energy. By 2025, renewable energy should account for 23% of the total energy supply.Zhang chengfei said that according to the current market situation, the goal of asean's renewable energy development can be achieved, but it still needs to be built on the premise of continuous improvement of power generation efficiency and reduction of wind and light abandoning rate.Take the floating solar power station vigorously developed in southeast Asia as an example. Countries still lack professional technicians in the operation and management of the power station, which may lead to low efficiency of power generation, threaten the safety of power station assets, and even cause casualties.Optimal operations in the company independent research and development of UniCare ® operational system support, the establishment of a standardized, standardized operations management system, and formed a set of perfect operational risk control system, the plant can be comprehensive and integrated management, better plant operations in a planned way for prevention and rapid response, improve the operation efficiency and benefit, and ultimately realize the photovoltaic power station "knowable, measurable and controllable" intelligence operations.

The southeast Asia photovoltaic energy storage conference was strongly supported by more than 20 authoritative organizations in the asean region, including the department of energy of the Philippines, the department of energy and mining of Laos, the electricity authority of Thailand, the national energy and power of Malaysia, the department of energy of India, the Asian infrastructure investment bank and the Asian development bank. The conference aims to explore the huge pv + energy storage market potential in southeast Asia, help enterprises better understand the southeast Asian renewable energy market, and identify key issues in the southeast Asian market.
