Installation

Connection 1 is used for connecting to the life wire of the building electricity network before the switch, sensing if the life wire is "alive".

Connection 2 is used for connecting the neutral of the building electricity network

Connection 3 and 4 have a test switch (that is connected in series between the life connection 2 and electronic circuit of KUNSEN module).

Connection 5 (Positive +) and 6 (Negative -) for connection a LED indicator meaning the power and battery is connected correctly and the inverter is working.

Connection 7 (+) and 8 (-) are used to connect the battery for emergency operation

Connection 9 and 10 is connected to the output block of electronics ballast.

Connection 11 and 12 is connected to the other output block of electronic ballast

For those using magnetic ballast (Diagram 2), connection 9 is connected to the output block of magnetic ballast which is wired to "L" of building electricity and "SL"

Connection 10 and 11 is to connect Starter

Connection 12 is connected to Neutral Line.

Connection 13, 14, 15 and 16 are connected to the lamp.

Emergency battery pack FAQs

1. How to choose the right emergency battery packs?

Firstly, please let us know what kind of your lighting you use, such as LED tube, LED panel, downlight, CFL, Fluorescent, halogen or LED strip etc...

Secondly, we"d like to know power of your lamp (Watts)

Thirdly, we"d like to know your local mains voltage, 220V or 110V or others

Fourthly, we need to know how long duration you required, such as 0.5 hour, 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours, or more

Fifthly, what kinds of battery do you prefered? such as NiCad, Nimh, or Lithium etc..

Sixthly, do you install the emergency battery pack into a box or outside? If you have any requirements on size?

2. What is our main products of your emergency battery packs?

Our main products include:

1. Emergency kit with full emergency power for lights with AC220V or 220-310V DC or 100-150V DC output voltage, emergency power is from 3W to 300w with different types.

2. Constant current output EM kit for LED with external driver, such as LED down light, LED panel etc. Emergency power can be customized according to customer"s requirements. Light output in emergency operation = (LED current in emergency operation)/(LED current in mains operation)x(light output in mains operation).

3. Constant voltage 6V/12v/24v for LED strip and quartz halogen, emergency power is 10W to 50W.

4. Constant Power EM kit with 5W or 10W emergency power.

5. EM kit for T5/T8/PL fluorescent lamp from 8w to 70W, emergency power is from 4W to 8W.

6. EM module with integrated LED driver can be work for LED board of 8-24W. It is easy plug and play for installation.

 

3. It need be charged for the first time usage after installation?

Yes, the battery packs must be charged over 24 hours after installation

 

4. Can EM kit work with any kinds of lights?

No, we have different EM kit for different lamps, please reference to " How to choose the right emergency battery packs".

 

5. How to know you choose high temperature battery or regular temperature battery?

The high temperature battery can be trickle charged well even if the emergency kit is in high temperature due to insufficient radiating caused by the lights working for long time. While regular temperature battery stop charging in high temperature that result in emergency light failed to work. We recommend to use high temperature battery for EM kit.

 

6. Are the emergency modules with over charging protection and discharging protection?

The battery is being charge all along when mains is working, and the charging current will be decreased based on the capacity status of battery packs during charging. When battery pack is changing enough, the charging current is very small, and need not over voltage protection, but on discharging operation the emergency module set a cutting voltage to protect over discharging.

 

7. How EM kit work?

When the normal supply of AC power fails, the emergency kit senses the power failure and immediately switches to the emergency mode to illuminate lamps. When AC power is restored, the emergency ballast returns to the charging mode until the next power failure or emergency situation. The battery fully recharges within 24 hours.

 

8. Do you offer OEM or ODM service?

Yes, we have our Brand "KUNSEN", and OEM and ODM services are welcome too. We can do customer"s design, box and labels.
