Why we add 730nm far red chips ?
Far-Red 730nm
Promotes expansion and stretching of leaves and stems. Penetrates the canopy to encourage growth of lower leaves. When used with 660-680 nm wavelengths, plant photosynthesis rates increase via the Emerson effect.
Emerson effect:
When simultaneously exposed to both of IR(Far red) and 660nm red light,the rate of photosynthesis is far higher than the sum of the red light and far red lightphotosynthesis rates.
