1.  What is LiTex LED textile ribbon?

It is a newly invented textile ribbon, a perfect combination of electronic component (LED) and traditional textile ribbon.

2.  Is it dangerous that we get electric shock when using LiTex LED textile ribbon?

No, the voltage and current is very low.  No harm at all.

3.  Is it washable?

Machine wash is prohibited.  Gently hand wash, dip dry.  Remove switch box and batteries before washing.   For using on clothes, suggest to use LiTex of the wider widths (15mm or 22mm) for the better firmness of LED lights to the ribbon.

4.  Will it be out of order when got wet?

No, it will only get power short and can not be on.  Return to normal function when dried.

5.  Can it be sewn or stitched?

Always avoid strong twisting it for the sake of tiny metal wire protection.  3mm LiTex can be hand sewn.  15mm and 22mm can be machine sewn.  Keep away of the needle stitching from the tiny metal wire.

6.  Can we adjust the brightness of it?

No, it is fixed, however, more brightness when you use less lights.

7.  How many LED light colors do you have?  Can it change light colors in one ribbon?

It has red, lime, yellow, orange, blue, white, and green, 7 colors.  Light color is fixed in the ribbon, can't be changed.

8.  Why there is price difference in the different light colors?

The components of precious metals in the different LED lights are different, so price different.

9. What is its power or energy for lighting?

We have specially designed switch box for the lighting control.  Inside of the switch box, you need 2 cell batteries.

10.  How to replace the batteries?  What is the model or type of the batteries?

The batteries used are very popular type, you can buy them on the market easily.  We use CR1220 for our switch box #SB100 & SB101, CR2032 for  SB102.

11.  How long can the batteries last for lighting LiTex?

About 24 - 36 hours for SB100 & SB101

About 120 - 144 hours (5 - 6 days) for SB102

(The figures given are estimated when using Maxell batteries. It varies for different battery quality.)

12.  How many colors do you have for the switch boxes?

SB100 & SB101  black/gray, orange, blue, lilac, pink

SB102  white

13.  How many lighting modes does it have?

5 modes plus on/off in the switch box.  (questions in general)

14.  Please advise the possible applications for your LiTex LED ribbon.

Due to its features of softness, easy to use and colorful looking, it is an ideal material for all crafters,even for the one who don't know electrics or electronics.  For the wider LiTex (15mm and 22mm), simple sewing or stitching can help to "light up" your work easily.

15.  Can I cut LiTex for the length I need?  How to cut?

Yes, it is cuttable.  Just cut at the metal wire exposed in between of 2 LED lights.

16.  Can I use the rest part of LiTex after cut?  How to use?

Yes, it can be used by connecting "the cut end" to another switch box.  (The spare switch box is available in store.)

17.  My LiTex can't light up. Why? 

possible reasons are as below ~~ 

* connecting the "wrong" end to the switch box

* the metal wire of the ribbon didn't connect properly to the wire part inside of switch box

* the 2 metal wires of the ribbon "touched" together when connecting to switch box, then cause power short

* the metal wire of the ribbon "touched" other metal material and cause power short

* the battery is dead
