Artificial grass definitely requires maintenance, but it is much lower than natural grass. For different applications of grass, maintenance is different, for decoration, it needs very little care, for landscaping in garden or for commercial use, it requires to keep clean. In case it is contaminated, you would need equipment or tools such as vacuum, high pressure water gun or high pressure air sweeper to clean.
